Homing Missiles
I love the speaker's monotone in this video. It gives that classic 1950s feel to current technology.
The AGM-88 HARM homes in on electronic transmissions coming from the ground. The missile is capable of acquiring its on targets within its given parameter.

To be honest, combat weaponry is a pretty foreign concept to me. Don't get me wrong, I have my own guns at home, but they're only pistols or shotguns. Missiles and bombs just seem way above my head. But considering where society started from (throwing rocks at each other) to weapons of mass destruction, it truly is incredible. To have a missile be able to program its own target, which can be seen as a form of artificial intelligence, is an incredible advancement. The possibilities truly could be endless. I have no doubt in my mind soon they'll be able to send in robots and such so they won't lose human lives. I don't know, it's beginning to become a little bit too much like Terminator. I'm not quite sure which is a stronger emotion; terror or fascination.
