1 million rounds per minute

When complete the Metal Storm will be capable of firing a million rounds per minute. The weapon has no moving parts, instead it uses electric volts to send the bullets flying.

Just scroll to 1:28 and watch the prototype annihilate several boards stacked in a row.

  1. First off what an awesome video! You guys never cease to amaze me with the interesting things that you post.

The weapon shown here is truly a powerful indeed. To be able to shoot off that many rounds and to do that type of extreme damage truly is amazing. It seems to have the same impact as some small bombs just in a lot less time and with a lot less effort.

This type of technology will surely change combat and war allowing it to destroy in just a matter of seconds.

  2. It was really amazing. Weapon that does this much of damage without anyone controlling it wow!!! As Angela said "This type of technology will surely change combat and war allowing it to destroy in just a matter of seconds." but I think it was affect our future generation. It's not like that I don't agree with Angela but what I am trying to say that the more there are wars the more new weapons and the more the damage. This weapon is really nice and amazing but it also has many bad affect that is going to hurt our future generation one day.

  3. Great video. I'm glad there was a video because a picture simply would not have done this weapon justice. This weapon should be extemely beneficial in combat. How much does this gun cost however, and to replenish that much ammunition has to be expensive as well. What else is new, as the economy goes down the price of things go up, yet baseball players still get paid millions of dollars. I'd rather see money go to the military which would help our country in a time of war. Again great video!

  4. This video was very impressive. I cant believe that there is such an invention and more surprising is how come I have not heard of this before. I am sure that a weapon like this would definitely benefit our troops who are away at war currently. I am more interested how the military could fund such a weapon since funds are scarce as it is I am curious whether the military will support the development of this weapon or just place this project on hold
