Medieval Armour

Medieval Armour was designed to protect vital areas of the body, and to deflect weapon blows while allowing for freedom of movement in the joints. In the present, scientists are working on "futuristic" armour that may actually have some similarities to original medieval suites of armour.

  1. Armor was defiantly a necessity in battle to help protect one’s body. Soldiers throughout history have used various types of materials to protect themselves from injury when there were involved in combat and other dangerous situations.

Medieval armor was made from metal but armor was created even before that. The first record of armor was the use of animal skins as protective clothing and as shields. Through advances in technology wood was used for protective shields and eventually metal was used.

One may never think out it but the design of armor in itself was an art form. Metal smiths created custom armor to fit the bodies of soldiers. Much like fashion designers design clothes today. Also many shields were designed to represent certain families or groups of people. Each of these designs was custom and incorporated traits of the family or group.

While metal is still used today for body protection technology has created much lighter, studier and stronger types of body armor such as the bulletproof vest.

  2. Armor is a form of art because you have to take the shape of a person for it to work. So their is all different sizes and no one is alike. But with all that armor to put on and to use all those buckles to buckled them do we really have enough time to put it on if we have to fast. Also if they kept it on at all times people would get hot it and also they wouldn't be able to use the restroom if they had to go. So while scientist work on a new one they should hopefully look into a few things.

  3. Armor were use a long time ago in mostly all the countries. Some countries still have them from past. I think that it is the symbol of our past and how much they did for our countries.Armor are specially made for people because they are made of each person's size. These are made of steel kind metal which protects them against the enemy's bullets. If you go to places like museums you will get to see one of these armor and they will explain you in detail about how it was a life save for people fighting for freedom. Even if armor is ancient people still give it some kind of importance and that is the reason scientist are researching. Even thought we have our new technology, we still see Armor in this modern world.

  4. Armor is definitely something of the past which was used to protect combatants in battle which we more commonly are aware of either through books or movies of the past. What we as a society are not commonly aware of is that each particular piece of armor was designed for a specific person so that it would fit them appropriately and give them easy mobility in that protective armor. Although that armor which was used so long ago is not currently used I know that the military is constantly developing new and more efficient technological advancements in armor for soldiers in battle so we can assume that most technologies do not die out but rather evolve and make the necessary changes to keep up in our current world.
